60' Open quizz...

For a school project I'd like to know who introduced the following innovations on the 60' monohulls for the Vendee Globe, and when ?

Twin rudders
Lifting rudders
Composite keel
Canting keel
Central water ballasts
Wing mast with outriggers
Wing mast without outriggers

Thanks,

Jeff

You might try contacting "249" who has posted on this forum under the Mighetto thread-though I'm not sure you can.Go to Sailing Anarchy.com and look for his posts as "Chris249". He has a pretty good grasp on the history of innovation in sailing and should be able to give you good info.

Hi,

For wing mast with outriggers I think it is Yves Parlier (on "Aquitaine Innovations")

Or you could try Leo V's mini forum - as most of these innovations came from Minis, they might well know.
