    Great video-thanks! I think foils like WOXI's DSS are going to make narrow boats faster again-we'll have to see.

    Yes, we shall see. There are limits to both ways of attaining the high speeds. Planing hul approach has to deal with high hull plating pressures and slamming loads, while foiling approach have to cope with cavitation and with high structural load on foils and their attachment to the hull. As the boat speed increases, so do these problems. So both approaches have their pros and cons.

    Comanche did good with toe-in daggerboards. I am looking at the Sydney start surge that must be the outrage speed phenomena of the year.

    Closer look the bow was often proud. Comanche was short-waterlining with aftmast design. Unheard. Un-balance? No surprise that Jim Spithill fresh from AC was there.
