Volvo Outdrive Shudder

I'm experiencing a shudder when turning. I have a '95 Volvo 5.7Gi with a 290 DuoProp. Just put in a rebuilt engine. U-joints and intermediate shaft bearings appeared to be fine. The outdrive had some play and I replaced steering cable and the steering fork bushings while I had it appart. Still see some play, looks like it is coming from the helmet bushing and still some slop in the fork. Seems to run fine when going straight but begins to shudder when turning port or starboard. Harder the turn, the more shudder. Could it be the loose outdrive? or another suggestion?

Are the U-joints lined up correctly?

Seemed to go right over splines when I put the outdrive back on.

A loose bushing will make the U-joints get out of alignment in a turn.
