Volvo block number

We inherited a 1996 Glastron with an 8 cylinder Volvo engine and must have the engine block no. but don't know where the nuber might be. Any help is appreciated.

If the carburator cover is still in, the number is on it. Otherwise, look in the back of the block behind the distributor.
