| Shifting Trouble Hi People, just got this boat with a mercruiser 5.0 LX in it (Celebrity Status 220) and after getting it hot shifting is becoming a little harder,the actual problem though is that while on idle I can not get it on neutral as easy .It feels that is stuck on gear (either fwd or aft).Makes parking very uncomfortable. It goes back to normal after getting cool. Any IDEAS...Thanks.  |

| does it have a out drive or is it a inbord?And it could just be a coincidence that it is acting funny after the overheating.take apart the control box and lube it up good check and or replace the cable.if it is a inbord with a regular strait drive you can disconect the cable and shift the transmition by hand and see if it is the cable or lincage or if you transmition is F@#$ed up. |
