Shaft Saver

Has anyone had experience with the Shaft Saver product? If so, what do you think?

To me it seems that it would have more issues than regular bearings. Alignment is very critical with bshafts and bearing on outside would have more play. But personally never used them or know of anyone that has.

They work well and are a solution to a shaft that has a bit of wear.

Location: Conn in summers , Ortona FL in winter , with big dock & room for O'nite stop .
They work at least as well as the std setup.

They work even better in a sandy silty area as the shell wears , not the shaft , so multiple replacements are easy.A std shaft just keeps getting worse.
