Retractible SailDrive?

Does anyone make such a thing as a retractible sail drive or other propulsion unit that retracts?

I can't seem to get the idea out of my head. It's what I want, but there is no such animal that I know of.

An outboard on a really big jack plate retracts, an outdrive retracts and I would imagine you could engineer a pod that lifted the whole saildrive, engine and all, clear of the hull bottom, but it would be costly in more then just money.
