| Prop vs. Jet on Outboard Lower Unit Hello, Does anyone have any experience with outboard motors with the Jet-drive lower unit compared to the conventional Prop, for the same power rating? I noticed some makers offer what appears to be the identical powerhead with choice of either as final drive, typically in the 30-60 HP range. This would be for a 15'(+/-) catamaran (Twin Vee,Livingston) style. Shallow water access is the main reason. Cheers, Jay |

| It's my understanding that the prop lower units are more efficient than their jet counterparts - I guess it depends what level of importance you place on shallow water running...
