Power Head v. Inboard Jet

I am in search of any information that I can reference to help build a comparison between the pro's and cons of Power Head (Sport Jet) and inboard V8 power for an alunminum jet boat in the 20'-24' size range. Particular area of interest is fuel efficiency and cost comparison. Any other info would be helpful, too.

I am trying to lay out the differences and make a recomendation. This is to be used in a commercial application. Boat will be used as much as 30 hours per week throughout the year. Speed is critical, I need no less than 45 MPH and the ability to carry a load.

Thanks for the help!
