I would like to welcome Tony to the forums. I have been reading and quoting his work on boat diesel.com for years. Thank you Tony for all of your contributions.

If you get a John Deere you could get a marine exhaust manifold from nogva.
Here running a none marine exhaust is illegal because hot manifolds ignite oil and diesel leakages.

The work is in finding the proper parts to hook up the tranny to the engine bell housing..

IF the place you purchase a rebuilt TD from can order everything to match it to your engine , it will be costly , but worth it in less hassle.

Greetings,

Current marine engine builders look as if they attach Twin Disc TMC40's and 60's as standard procedure without any special fittings needed. Is that right or is something else missing?
