Mercruiser 120 Replacement

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post so please be gentle.

I have a 5.5M Penguin cabin cruiser that is fitted with a mercruiser 120 engine and I am told a MR Leg.

I am interested in my repowering options and who in Perth Western Australia is a good source for engine parts as the entire drive system is in great condition - just the engine is getting a bit tired and struggles a bit getting to Rotto and back in a decent swell.

I am up for suggestions and an outboard conversion is not out of budget just need a clear understanding of the pros and cons of it all.

Cheers

J
