| Merc Cruiser 470 - Stern drive type?  Can anyone tell me... I just acquired the boat. It has a 1979 MercCruiser 470 inline 4 cylinder (170hp) but I am not sure what type of sterndrive is attached. I know it is a MercCruiser. Can anyone tell me where I can find information regarding the stern drive unit. Thanks. |

| Jot down the numbers that are stamped on the drive (location anyone?) and call your friendly Merc service center. They should oblige.
