Kt & Kq

In the link bellow there is a very well known paper published by University of Michigan.
http://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstr...6.0001.001.pdf

I have some questions regarding that.

there are 2 curves for Kt and Kq, but i am confused whether the dotted line or the continuous line represents the Kt. In the book of SV. SA. Harvald i found in the kt-kq curve Kq is presented by the dotted line. I just want to be sure that whether there is any diffrence from that book in this papers.

another question is, are all the curves in this paper plotted by the regrassion polynomial equations or they are taken from the original N.S.M.B results.

Thanks
