Info on old lister?

Hello All.
I'm midway through restoration/re-build an old 16' clinker built fishing boat. Hope to finish most of the structure by the end of the summer. I plan to turn my attention to the engine for the winter.

So far as I can see, the engine is a single cylinder, air-cooled Lister - probably an LD1 or SL1, judging from pictures I have seen. As background before I start, I need as much info as possible - service manual/handbook/spares list, etc.

I would be grateful for anything forum members can find.

Many thanks.

Thanks for this, MDV. I had already seen this site, but am not keen to shell out on books unless I can be more certain how relevant the content is.

Thanks for that.

Good luck with your project.

My engine is in storage (has been for maybe 30 years!). I'm not planning to touch it until I make further progress with the hull. New transome fitted, new stem tried for size, thwarts roughed out but lots of planks to replace. I may dig the engine out if I get bored over the winter!
