Sure,

With 737 sq ft of sail in the std cutter configuration (as copied from Myth of Malham) and a 40% ballast ratio , she sails pretty well.

In light airs we strile yje Yankee and get almost 1100sq flying , remember the boat was built as a CRUISER , a 90/90 so does have sail area.

A racer would be forced to have far less sail , or suffer a monstrous rating penalty. And attempt to fly a spinnaker to windward to compensate.

Not a problem for us, were not a "cruiser racer."

Although like every sailor born we trim better when near another rag boat !
