Fuel Injection?

I'm buying a 1987 VIP Vindicator, without a motor. (had a Ford 460)

Guy has the carb that goes to it so that's not an issue

question is, if I bought a later model 460 with fuel injection out of a truck am I gonna run into safety issues, or should I convert it back over to carb.

boat will be inland freshwater only
