Engine swap-4.3 for 2.3?

Can I swap a 4.3L for my 2.3L engine into my 1989 Bayliner Capri without changing my out drive? 400 Cobra OMC.Has anyone any experience here? If so, what if any parts can I salvage from my old 2.3L?

I just bought The same Boat as you and was wondering the same thing, as my 2.3L is not doing to well...Did you ever find out anything on this.?

I decided to part out my Bayliner. But I did learn that with the same Cobra outdrive one could swap a 3.0 liter engine. You can do a 4.3 swap with new outdrive and motor mounts from what I have learned. Good luck.
