Most Mud boat drives seem to be low power tiller steering hard to handle style.A wheel to steer and automatic lifting when the going gets tough makes this type of boating a lot easier. Earth moving parts can be utalized to make a very rugged drive.

There are plenty of choices to build your own of propulsion for whatever usage you may want and not pay someone else for a license to do it.
www.blizzarddesigns.com/mudboat/mudboat.html shows a pretty GO model although we would not be able to run them here, we would be expected to find a more environment friendly way to access wetlands.

great drive system, the car motors are heavy and take alot of hp to overcome the weight.today there are alot of choices for weight and hp in car motors.even a modern 4 cycle supercharged pwc motor are very light and meet emmisions.some of the 3 or 4 passenger are in the 130hp range.switching from pump to prop will probally gain 25-30 percent more hp?
