| Another consideration in selecting the number of blades may be vibration frequency and magnitude. The larger the number of blades the higher the fundamental frequency of propeller induced vibration. Also it's possible that the amplitude of the unsteady force will be reduced with more blades, presumably proportional to the inverse of the number of blades.
