Transom Trouble

I am seeing some cracks in the top of the transom of my 15' fiberglass transom. I am also seeing cracks where the 30 hp clamp screws hold the engine to the transom. I am worried that water is getting in. Can I cap this with an aluminum transom support and use a lot of caulking? If so, any suggestions as to where to purchase one.....thanks
