Repower project gas/jets to diesel/Stern I have a 30 Aluminum boston whaler that I acquired with Mercruisers and Hamilton Jet drive that I am looking to repower with Yanmar 315 and bravo2 drives. Anyone have expereince with such a project or have any recommendations? My questions specfically: Do you think it will be necessary to reinforce the transom and engine mount areas?

yes, this is what it looks like now after repainting. They were only about 7 Al whalers made and i beleive only 2 with jet. Does anyone know where I could get the original engineering planes for this boat?

Funny, their is one just like it sitting 100 feet from me. It uses jet drives, don't know engines in it. Well built boat, looks like little pilot boat. Big towing hookup in back.
