got one side of the last nidaplast sheet to glass up in the morning then i can start marking it out for the deck.

need to get some 65mm plastic tube for the wiring tubes as well.

deck is now bonded in place.

i had to make up a frame and stick it to the deck so i could lift the deck panels up as one piece to keep it all flat.

    worked a treat.

also made a start on building the anchor compartment and storage compartments.

not much done lately due to other grp jobs.

any way i managed to get the first pair of hatch gutters made.

just needs trimming up and the pva washing out.

you'll notice that there are 4 hinge points in the bigger gutter. thats because when i mould the gutters i only want to make 1 mould so that 1 mould will allow me to make the gutters for both sides.

i will be moulding both gutters exactly as they are now as they are joined together which will help with bonding of them to the deck.

will need to order a catch for the lids so i can make recess plates to put in the temporary mould so they fit in flush.

    thanks mate

i trim them up using a grinder with a 1mm cutting disc.

works really well but is a little dusty so i cut it outside.

i do some times use an air saw but it takes too long.

they will either drain out the sides of the hull or drain out in to the tunnel with stainless vent cover to prevent any water coming back through whilst motoring.

im preferring the tunnel exit for the drains at the moment but i may change my mind if i come up with a different idea to drain them.

popped over to my workshop this afternoon for couple hours and i decided to glass in a couple pieces of 18mm ply next to the battery trays so that the battery cut off switches can be mounted to them and anything else that needs screw in place in there.

    got a little more done.

the tunnel top has be reinforced with nadaplast.

also all 4 rear compartments have been flowcoated out.

im not 100% happy with the flowcoat so may re do them at some stage.

ive now got to take a mould of one set of the hatch gutters and then the gutters can be bonded down on to the deck and i can then glass up the deck to thickness and blend it in to the hatch gutter tops.

i have ordered 2 82ltr fuel tanks this morning.

i know im a long way off that part of the build yet but i had to get them as they were a bargain.

will be picking them up some time next week.

made a start on moulding one of the hatch gutters this afternoon.

got 2 gels on and the first layer of mat on.

should have that finished tomorrow and ready for popping of the gutter saturday morning.
