Design firm prospect

The department of Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering in the Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology is one of the oldest department in the subcontinent region. Lots of graduates are working all over the world, specially in singapore.Keppel Shipyard,Sembawang Shipyard Pte Ltd and also in some design firms are satisfied and well depended upon the engineers of this department.
These naval architects are well capable of performing the naval architectural jobs in design,construction and research sector of this area. Unfortunately, there has no well established desgin firm or research center in Bangladesh that can work and compete in the international market. A few local design firms are doing good and working with Germannishcer Lloyd's, NKK, ABS, DNV but these works are not so significant if one want to compare with the international advancement.

What i want to say, no doubt we have the capability,knowledge of doing such kind of job, as we see that our engineers are doing great in different countries, we dont have any international establishment in design/research sector in our country.

I am proposal is like this, our shipbuilding sector is developing and withing 5 years we will be one of the advanced country in shipbuilding sector, so it will be very much prospective sector for design and research of floating vessels as design and research side is still lagging behind far.We may have lots of problems but we also have lots of prospects.
Is there any interested design firm/shipbuilding and design research center that want to establish their branch or new section in this country? All are cordially invited.
