Yes, I've drunk Italian wine, too. You have my sympathy, now that you realise what high quality wine we have, and how cheap it is too.

How much ocean passage experience do you have? Most very small boat voyages have been completed by those with a very broad range of experience at sea.

LOL, yeah. Most very small voyages have been by sailors with absolutely no experience. Shortest boat voyage is not securing boat to trailer and dropping boat on road :D

    My dad taught me
    You can do anything.

My mom saw I enjoyed the water when I was 5.
She planned a long vacation at a hotel with a big big pool and was darn sure I could swim really well for a 5 year old before she let me get over my knees from shore even on a pier :)

    Like I said before :)

    Winners look for solutions,
    Losers look for problems.

Children, please TRY to play nicely, and if you cant say something positive, best is to say nothing at all. And by the way, don't generalise, that is like putting your foot in it.

I would need a boat of at least 11 ft 6 so I can fit the tv and coffee machine. The satellite dish can double as spinnaker.:)

No need to get defensive, just asking the OP what his background is. Someone with 40 years at sea (like the OP) is a lot more likely to pull off an attempt at pushing the boundaries of the sport than someone with little or no boat experience.

I actually think with good planning and realistic expectations the OP has a decent shot at success.

I don't think personal attacks on my intelligence are really needed. I actually have high latitude experience in small (though not micro) boats that could be relevant to Windrafs trip.
