At least it is in dry-dock. I hope the crew is ok. I heard some got carbon monoxide poisoning but have not heard of any fatalities.

I've been following it in the news a couple of days now.. It's just 250km away, a bit too close for a burning nuke sub to feel comfortable with..

Unfortunately, they are not known for treating their crew especially well...

Russian news say the situation is under control and fire is suppressed. The question now if they can bring this submarine back into service...

P.S. Teddy, I was born in that town...

I'd say the question is: Is there any truth to the Russian news report?

This time easy to verify; check what is written in blogs. We did.

Evidently "we" are those who can read blogs in Russian.

Drop the word "Russian" and the question will remain equally valid.

Yes, true. Recently we have seen 'unrest in Russia' news with protestors throwing stones/fire in police on one major American channel. Footage of violence shown was from Greece, intentionally compiled with real footage from Moscow

Доброе утро. (Russian)
Καλημέρα! (Greek)
I am pretty sure this lady was speaking Russian, not Greek, but it is easy to splice footage. The flags in the video are Russian. It is hard to believe anything not seen with one's own eyes.
I hope for good outcome with no bloodshed in Russia on either side and with friendship between countries.

P.S. Top two lines say "Good morning!"

Yes, they added footage of violence in Greece to footage from peaceful meeting in Russia. One can clearly see palm trees (in Moscow?!) and street signs in Greek. But probably it is not evident for average person watching that channel... This is how brainwash works.

The is not the only sample, most TV channels lie; western 'democratic' channels as well.

Спасибо. Most people here wouldn't know the difference between Cyrillic Russian and Greek writing.

Well, then I wouldn't be clarifying the previous post who was mistakingly referencing "Russian News" when he/she meant blogs. How someone could make that kind of mistake I don't know, but we are way off topic.
