Bad name choice. Putting the "z" in there alienates your target demographic.

Maybe there was something lost in translation.

I assume English is not your mother tongue?

In English, putting a "z" on "boatz" is something very young people would do. Generation X and younger.

How many people younger than Generation X own boats, cruising boats and will blog about their adventures on them?

You are alienating your target demographic by choosing that name.

Ok, I got your point. Forget about the domain name for a while. What do you think about the content and design? (if you have registered) .

I believe that would not be the case for everyone. The target audience is not only superyacht owners anyway , there are young people who like boating you know ...

Another thought, from someone who has been around the WWW since the beginning:

Having to register before even seeing what is on the site is going to turn a lot of people off. When I encounter a site like that, I just move on. It would be better to have at least part of the site available to "guests" so they can see if they want to register.

Same here. Also, make your own site, don't use that service where you click a few boxes and you now have a site on their software platform.

Go to school or hire a pro web design company.

Thanks for the advice but I know what I am doing. I have lots of coding in there. No need for school or company. I'm doing this for 14 years.

Michael, you are right. That's what I was concerned as well. I added an intro video on the homepage.

People try to be nice and helpful for your benefit.....

I believe you came here prejudiced, already made your mind made up, announced your webpage to all and by doing that you, should have known there will be criticism and suggestions coming your way. Criticism can be constructive or destructive depending on your attitude and point of view and I feel you opted for the latter...

Btw, I avoid any webpage with intro videos like the plague - they are time consuming eating away on the broadband - why not keep things simple?

Wynand, thank you for your comment but I have no idea what you are talking about. Could you please show me in which of my posts I have been rude to anyone? This is really getting weird. In order to criticize , you need to test it , right? Unfortunately I see no one from this thread registered on the website. How can someone advice on hiring programmers or go to a school before even seeing what has been done?

Anyway, thanks everyone for the great support.
