Introduction of new Dutch workboat builder

    DUTCHWORKBOATS
In June 2012, a new workboat builder was founded in The Netherlands. DutchWorkboats designs and builds workboats up to 15 meters in aluminium and HDPE, specializing in tailor made vessels for specific deployments.

In DutchWorkboats as contractor, the boatbuilding knowledge and corporate experience of three professionals is brought together to form a company that is highly flexible, with a keen orientation on clients and project management. All manufacturing is outsourced to the best Dutch subcontractors in het market.

DutchWorkboats works intensively with clients to agree on requirements and deployment of the vessels. Its design and engineering processes aim to bring this efficiently together into price effective solutions, picking the best P/Q-ratio available.

    CURRENT PROJECT
One project under construction is a fast aluminium survey vessel, 7.50m with 3p cabin and inboard diesel for an international dredging company. Surveying at planing speeds up to 25 km/h and trailerable, max speed 40 km/h.

    NEW
The people at DutchWorkboats have extensive experience in building in aluminium, but are ever looking for new, innovative ways of bringing versatile workboats to the market. Latest is the build of workboats in HDPE (High Density Poly Ethylene). The advantages of HDPE are clear: high shock absorption, high buoyancy, strong yet flexible, zero corrosion and limited accumulation. The first boats are small jonboats of around 5 meters with outboards. Larger designs with inboard engines will be developed in the near future.
