i have an unused plug on my keyswitch, it is yamaha keyswitch with electric choke and lanyard attachment. The unused plug has 3 male prongs in a triangular arrangement. none of my harnesses have a matching plug. I need to know what it is for and if it is needed in my application. I have a 1996 yamaha 150 carb motor.

any help would be greatly appreciated

    thanx

This is probably the tachometer hookup. I haven't messed with too many Yamadogs, but they pretty much mirrored OMC, and this plug is for the tach on OMCs.
