Whaler Modification

I have a 13' Classic Boston Whaler and want to add a steering wheel/helm. Any idea how to start? Are plans out there? I don't want it to be hokey...

If you can't get help from Boston Whaler try Edgewater Boats in Edgewater Florida, or C. Raymond Hunt Assoc. in Boston, or just go to a Boston Whaler dealer with a tape measure and look at one with a helm.
