Wellcraft Nova II 26 - still seaworthy after 20 years?

How well built were the mid-1980s Wellcraft Nova II s ?

Am looking at a 26' 1984 Nova II with twin 350 chevy engines and alpha 1 sterndrives. What should I look for when considering this boat?

How good was wellcraft's layup in the mid-80s -- will wellcrafts of this vintage likely have rot or structural fiberglass problems from age?

And was there a big difference in the construction techniques between Novas and Scarabs of this era?
