| Since your first boat will not be your last , ONLY buy used , and use a pricing guide to keep from paying too much. Many of the published "guides" are soo much broler BS. When you have figured out what boat it is , call your Bankster. Their Bank Loan Value is what you want to pay , and NO MORE. Its a Buyers market, Have fun, as many folks claim the best day in your life is the day you buy a boat. The best day is ALSO the day you finally sell it. Get a survey, FAST FRED |

| Out of the three I would go with the CHAPARRAL 190 SSi. You must be warned that this boat, as with any family run-about, will take a large drop in value the second you roll off the show room floor. That's why the other post suggested you buy used if you're going to buy this type of boat. If you have to buy new, and you want a roomy family boat that holds its value, buy a v-drive ski boat like a Master-Craft(mastercraftboats.com) or a Malibu(malibuboats.com). If you have your heart set on a stern drive take a look at Ski-Pro Boats(skiproboats.com). All of these boats are all fiberglass construction, built with the best materials, and will last you a life time. Almost every ski boat out there holds there value strongly. Good luck in your quest to find your new boat, make your first boat buy your last and buy smart. |

| Regal 1800 is better, definately. Still, I'd say go for something with a cuddy, or even better, a hardtop.

| hey achalat have you considered a dual console grady or mako, it will do anything those above brands will do with a much better ride and less depreciation when its time to sell.please whatever you do stay away from bayliner boats and stern drives and go with a yamaha outboard. |
