wanna upgrade from 4 to 6 cyl

hey everyone, i am new, accidently came across this cool site; i want to buy a used boat and am thinking about a little more power than my usual 4 cyl; any ideas other than i know it will use more gas

Lots more info needed for any sort of suggestion. What type, size, and intended use of the boat? What is your usual 4 cyl type and power? Why do you want "a little more power"?

In general, more power means more fuel use, but boat type and intended use will all affect what combo is best.
