Upgraded 5.0 to 5.8? Question

starting with a 1988 Four Winns 215 5.0 cobra cracked motor......................WILL A 5.8L (1990) cobra fit? .........(i found this motor first when looking for replacements) will the motor mount's be the same ? does anyone know what kind of problems I might run across with this idea?

mounts same and..
block is taller so after you bolt on your exhaust manifolds it will be wider

THANK YOU , I've done alot of searching to find a motor. I looked at some 5.7L because i want to go a little bigger than the 5.0L it came with and than POOF A 5.8L SHOWS UP,

Not an OMC guy, but had a boat for years where previous owner had swapped a 351 in place of the old 302 - still had old valve covers stamped 302 and exhaust manifolds (with rubber to stainless s curves to thru-hulls) and lots else from the 302.
