Tolman Seabright skiff almost finished ...

I am almost finished building a Tolman Seabright skiff to Renn Tolman's specifications with a couple minor changes pre-approved by Renn himself. This is the first boat of this design in the world other than Renn's prototype, and it is built extremely well.

I can ship it immediately for anyone wanting to do the rest of the work personally. The most recent pictures are here and I will take more for a serious buyer:

I was going to retail the finished hull for 'a lot of money' in the USA but I would rather sell it at a discount if I can deliver it quickly. Then I can make some room in my tiny little boat yard for a much bigger project that's scheduled to start next month.

$4500 is the best I can do. Shipping is extra -- figure $4000+ to North America, less to Asia / New Zealand / Australia, and more to Europe. If you're interested please contact me soon, thanks.

Would answer a lot of questions if you powered it and reported how it ran.

I know that's expensive , but if the prop and shaft were re-useable , even a temporary motorcycle or old car engine could give the numbers. A proper inboard could later be installed by the purchaser.

Not just in money but also in time, Fred. If I could I would but there's no telling when I might have the time. Renn is likely to finish his one of these days and he already has an engine and transmission.
