small fishing catamaran

Im looking into designing and building a small (16 foot) catamaran for fishing and diving. It would be very simple with hulls and trampoline and an outboard (similar to a hobie 16). Does anyone know how i could work out how fast a 10 hp outboard would power something like this with a load of 2 people (200kg).

A Hobie can't plane, and although they are blazing fast under sail, the forces won't match up the same way under engine. It could do it but would not be too stellar a powerboat.
The big question is, do you want it to plane? You'll end up with a completely different shape if you want it to plane than if you want a displacement form, and neither will look like the hull of a Hobie.
