Shakespeare Speedboat

I have recently bought an old Shakespeare Shadow Speedboat. Is there anywhere I can get information, photos, books etc, as I don't know whether it is a MK 1,2,3 or 4 & I want to restore it to its former glory!!!

loads of information on google on them ....have a look at www.screamandfly.com for all the fancy paint and restorations..

If thats acrington in the UK I would like to know where you can use a speedboat other than on the sea ( or pay vast fees to launch at an aqual park

Thanks for that! I will look again on Google, but kept drawing a blank on pictures. There was only one good website, but only a few pictures and hardly any detail. Let me tell you there is no Aqua Park in Accrington, maybe the local canal!!! If you can suggest any more websites on Google that would be a great help, as I am new to all this.

world wide googe not google uk seems to be lots of photos ....be carefull if you want to use it on a canal at 4 mph some of these things steer like pigs at low speed...the V at the front acts as a rudder and you mught need some vertical tabls on the back or you will be playing with the outboard all day....its a sad place the uk for boaters

Thanks will try that. The nearest place for me is a small place called Pilling, which is a small sea estuary.

The River Wyre is your best bet just up from Fleetwood. There is a free slip way at Thornton with car park etc. Follow M55 and come of at Poulton turn off.

You will get 2 hours each side of the tide if your lucky.

Pilling sands---thats duck hunting, you mean Glasson dock on your way to Lancaster.

A Shakespeare Shadow -- describe it!!

The actual Shadow is metallic metal flake blue on top and white underneath with white PVC interior with blue piping. The actual name of the boat is Electric Dream. It has a 3 litre V6 Ford Engine in - don't think this is the original engine? Thanks for the info.

Shakespeare has a long and large range, with many uk followers. Hull designs vary from Mike Ring to Lorne Campbell. Ask your post on www.boatmad.com/forum
