Seeking info for 1976- 85 hp Evinrude

Specifically I am trying to find out how much this engine weighs before I purchase one for my boat I am refinishing. I have a 1976 Starcraft Aluminum boat that I am completely refinishing, and before I buy an engine I want to make sure it will push the boat and will not be to heavy so as to make the rear-end sit to far down in the water.

A 20-inch shaft 1976 Johnson 85 weighs about 300 pounds, maybe a bit less if it does not have power tilt and trim. This may give you an idea even though its not a Evinrude Bill

Thanks for the info on the 85 HP. This is great news because I didn't want to put anything over 350 lbs on the boat.
