Schuster Boats

I recently acquired a 16ft inboard schuster boat. The only ID is a tag on the hull that reads "Destintive water craft by Schuster" and the numbers 13224.
If someone can help me identify this boat I would really appreciate it.
Thanks
Lloyd

Lloyd,
I also have a Schuster 16' ski boat, mine is an 1973 T-Bird outboard model (hull # 17324). Dick Schuster built them, he also ran Tahiti, Hawaiian, maybe Southwind (?), and perhaps others. If yours is similar to mine, the hull is a very popular design, and the deck (upper half) varied considerably from high gunnals (mine) to flat decks. I have had a hard time finding good info on these boats, although there are ones for sale often in the on-line classifieds.

one place I ran across today that describes some of Schusters works is:
http://www.classicboatbeachbash.com/stories.htm

I am also in Idaho, in Coeur d'Alene up in the panhandle. Hope this helps some. Alan

not sure about your conversion however i thought i might add i recently aquired a tahiti 16' jet (1969) id #13187, with excellent hull condition., i dont know much about these crafts, however on your hull tag it should have a max horsepower rating engraved/ for your hull design
