Restoration 1961 Chris-Craft

I have stumbled upon a 1961 36' Chris-Craft that I believe is a Sea Skiff. I have purchased it and would like to restore it, but I have no idea where to start. Can anyone suggest where to begin, sources to exploit, etc.? Also I would like to restore it to how it would look around 1961 and I have been unable to find older pictures or vintage seating. It seems the smaller runabouts are very popular, but the larger boats aren't as celebrated.

Resotring wooden boats

I have been part of restoring three different chris crafts and two owens, currently I am working on a website that provides free information on restoring wooden boats. Although I really think there are two methods of restoration, one complete authenticity or sea wothy vessel. Complete authenticity can be cansiderably difficult and is rarely worth while unless it happens to be a desirable make. Possible candidate chris craft snub noses, older runabouts, trumpies.

This is my website, remember I am conitously updating it and if you have any questions in particular then you can send an email to question@classicwoody.com
