| That particular boat is a bit of a pig as far as scantlings, displacement, speed, engine size fuel use, etc. If you were to equip a small power cruiser, then you should consider this in the same vain (small). A 22' LWL powerboat is going to be limited in what it can reasonably accommodate. So, I focus on what you need, like electronics, good cushions, a loud horn, a big radar reflector, a tall cedar bucket with approached seat, etc. The top image you show is an absurd set of deck structures. It attempts to place a 40'er cabin on a 24' boat. Yea, that'll work out well. With all that windage aft they should have any trouble keeping their nose into the wind. This is one of my 24' designs to serve the same client needs. It too has more then I feel comfortable loading into a package, but this is also typical of small craft. This one has standing headroom (6' 3") a galley, enclosed berthing for 2 adults and 2 children, standing head, a separate nav. area and lots of stowage (the real trick to a good cruiser). |

| The required equipment always depends on the anticipated voyage....diferent things take priority when you're cruising the Florida Keys vs Great Slave Lake.... The minimum required by law is not a bad start......
