Ok just a random thought, why not use metal in stingers instead? Aluminum for example? would that accept fiber glass on top of it ?
Or would the weight offset the advantage of strenght?

Just seems the only stingers that last are epoxy ones. Maybe wood with epoxy then vinylsester to hold it in place ??
