Please help Identify this boat!!! Highlander boat?

I am looking to possibly purchase this boat this weekend the problem is, the seller says its a Highlander boat but i've searched it and can't seem to find any info on highlander boats. does anyone have an idea of who makes this boat and whether they are a reputable company? Thanks in advance.

The owner should have a title, or I wouldnt buy it. It should have all the info you need.

I'm not familiar with Highlander boats - but what is the year? It looks new enough that it should have a HIN number on the transom or sides near the transom.

I was able to obtain the HIN from the title and it turns out the boat is a HiLiner not Highlander, anyone know any about these boats? says it was manufactured in MA

See if you can get in contact with this guy as he would no doubt have some great experience to share, even if it's not the outboard version you're looking at: http://www.geoffdevine.com/

The HiLiner was designed by C. Raymond Hunt in the 1960's. Ray Hunt is best known as the designer of the original Boston Whaler ... and the Deep Vee racing hull that he originally designed for Bertram and is now found on most small powerboats intended to be used in open waters. The HiLiner 222 is the 21' 6" foot version of this hull. The molds for the HiLiner were created in 1968 in Mattapoisett, Ma by Allen Vaitses. ...

Get in contact with these guys from The Hull Truth Forum -- there are a half dozen Hi Liner threads there (mostly IO but one OB too) and a handful of members who either know of the boat or have a Hi Liner there -- http://www.thehulltruth.com/northeas...222-boats.html

I've never seen a Hi Liner in person, at least I didn't know it was one if I did. Seems like a boat that should be better known around here given its lineage... maybe dominantly on the east coast?

pretty similar to his Bertram 20 with the exception of the transom and that it only has two running strakes while the B20 has three.

it is a Ray Hunt design for Hilner. When Hiliner went under Boston Whaler bought the molds and made a couple of boats with the name Yankee Voyager. Whaler decided to give up on it and sold the molds to Nauset Marine, Cape Cod which produce a CC under the name Nauset V-21.
