    Aftship interceptor

In its current form, the midship interceptor has been tested up to 4.6 FnV. It has been shown to work totally as expected.

During the year, however, a simpler concept was tested. It is an interceptor located under the aftship. There have been many model tests and some simple full-scale trials.

Model experiments show that it is possible to achieve almost as good results as we have had with the midship interceptor and aft stabilizer.

Full-scale experiments have been carried out to a very limited extent so far. Thereby was a 12-15 percent higher speed was registered. This corresponds roughly to a 25-30 percent difference in effect. The tests have so far been limited to speeds of around 2.3 to 3.4 FnV.

Now we have full winter and we intend to take up the experiments again in the spring.

Right now I am working on the development of new calculation models based on old knowledge and the new experiences.

Are there boats available in the US with this design? Does SASS sell boats? Sorry for my ignorance.
