Help identifying a boat.

Thinking some kind of Wellcraft anyone else have any Ideas?

 

I found another picture of the vessel.

 

Looks like a Wellcraft. Do you have access to this boat. If you do look on her stern for the Hull ID Number (upper right corner) If it starts WEL it's a Wellcraft.

 

My first guess is a Wellcraft as well, then an Invader with a paint job, made for a short time by VIP. let us know when you find out....

In the case of both boats, the easiest way to find out what it might be, is to have a look at the upper right corner of her transom where her HIN will be embossed. With this you can look up the manufacture prefix code.

Again, all the boats shown appear to be built after the early 1970's so they'll likely have a HIN located in the usual place. With this you can look up the manufacture prefix code.

Considering the market that manufactures shoot 70% or more of their products to, I say it's a safe bet on the HIN.

 

Well, not in this case.

European manufacturers give a **** on US regulations when they are fine with their EU market. And most ARE.
Though the equivalent to the HIN was established here as well, it is still not found on every boat.

And , yes, that is a Ilver, in the second picture. ANd it definetively HAS a HIN.
