| flats boat enclosed air conditioned cockpit Any market for us over 40 guys and gals that love to fish but can't fish in tropical sun all day or when the tides demand it.  |

| I've seen a cockpit misting system on larger sportfishers that reportedly drops the temp 20 degrees. Otherwise, the best thing for a flats boat is a nice big T-top!

| My solution: fish at night and early morning. If its too hot for you, then the flats are probably too hot for the fish anyway. This time of year, i dont bother going out until 6 p.m. or so. I live in Sebastian Florida. I used to bring a beach umbrella and put it in one of the rod holders ont he side of the console. you cant run with it up, but it gives shade. |
