Edge Marine

I was looking at jet boats and came across Edge Marine, and they look like they build a very good boat. I was wondering about the radius bottom technology and how that works. Any insite would be great.

The website is http://www.edgemarine.com

It's a bit difficult to tell from what's on their website, which is clearly 99% marketing hype.
Waterjets need a clean flow of water entering the tunnell, and the inlets are ususally a flat grid, so it's not uncommon to find the bottom a v flattened off to fair the intake into.
In purely hydrodynamic terms (setting aside the jets requirements) a rounded off vee is a bad idea. It allows the hull to slide in a turn and can also promote chine-walking at high speed.
Having said all that, I've never seen an edge marine boat, let alone been in one, so they may well perform well...
