| change an OMC to mercruiser? I've just adopted someones headache. Call me Sanford but I couldn't pass it up. I have a 1987 Chapparral with the V6 OMC. I'm having difficulties finding repair shops or replacement stern drives. Is it possible to repair my omc and can anyone steer me in the right direction on sites/shops in the New Orleans area? Or can i replace my omc with a mercruiser without serious modifications?   |

| I take it this is a Cobra drive? What's wrong with it? (The 4.3L V6 with the Cobra is a common package and generally pretty reliable.)
