cats on foils

how do cats on foils handle rough water, does the foil contribute to slamming like a bridgdeck does or does the forward motion carry it through waves?

A well designed foil-cat handles waves a lot better than ordanary cats. The foil dampens the vertical accelaration of the boat due to various changes when going over a wave; such as the change in the angle of attack.

Foil cats

What is the experience with power foil cats and weeds and other junk in the water?
