can anyone tell me about this hull design?

Can anyone tell me about this Hallett 26 AC limited hull design?
It's a standard vee from mid-boat (windscreen area) to the bow, but the stern becomes a kind of trihull or trimaran or tunnel.

How many did they make ?
My 2002 Chap 186 SSI has the same cockpit & bow area. Was 22 K With a trailer & V8.

I just do not appreciate boats like that.
