Bugatti engine powered boats

Hello fellow Speedboat maniacs,

At the moment I am investigating the history of the use of Bugatti engines (The old French car brand from the 20’s and 30’s) in boat. There where a couple of speedboats build called Niniette I. II, II, IV and V. In the book Classic Speedboats by Gerald Guetat a picture can be found of a boat called Celli also equipped with a Bugatti Type 50B engine. The Whip-Po-Will Jr. once was equipped with two U16 engines connected to one propeller shaft. Drawing / pictures can be found in the book Speedboat by D.W. Fostle

Is there anyone of you that can give me more information / pictures and so on about boat equipped with Bugatti engine? All help is highly appreciated.

You can reach me via rivaaquarama@hotmail.com

Best regards,

Martijn Visser
